Hehe, I know this one. A Belgian beer brewed not far from where I live (then again, nothing is really far in Belgium). :D
It has a special glass too. I think I have one of those somewhere.

There seems to be no limiter effect in Bespoke, but I'll give the compressor a shot and try to make it act like one.

Quote from: n3wjack on Apr 11, 2024, 07:23 PMI'm trying something I haven't done before, which is, I basically created a patch in Bespoke Synth for the remix, and I'm messing with it "live" using a Korg nanoKontrol2, and recording it.
It's great fun, but it's hard to get the mix right because I'm fiddling with the volumes in real time, and sometimes I just end up with some elements way too loud.

I wonder if anyone has experience with a "live" setup like this, and how to control the mix levels/mastering bits for this?

never done anything like this beyond recording automation but my instinct would be that if you're struggling to keep the volumes as contained as you want them it would be a good idea to record into a compressor?

or alternatively a gentle compressor with a low threshold + low ratio to gently level it out and a limiter after that for a firm "no" point?

Couple of things:

1. I realise we never acted on the stuff in here, I think both myself and @AxWax ran out of spoons after the big push to get it all live - I will try to find some time in the next week or so to revamp the bonkwave.org home page text to make it more inclusive as discussed, using @55aw 's ideas.

2. You might be interested to know that the Bonk Knob Records Faircamp site is one of the examples chosen by Simon Repp as an example on the Faircamp home page: https://simonrepp.com/faircamp/
